Children's clothing size guide

Sizing varies by brand. Use your child's current height first and age only as a starting point. European size numbers usually refer to the child's height in centimeters.

This is a general reference, not a guarantee of fit. The size shown on the product and any brand guidance take priority.

How to measure

  • Height: measure without shoes from the top of the head to the floor.
  • Chest: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
  • Waist: measure around the natural waist without pulling the tape tight.
  • Hips: measure around the fullest part with feet together.

Combined labels such as 98/104 or 3/4Y cover a range. If your child is near the top of that range or between sizes, compare measurements and consider the next size.

Product details

80% Nylon/20% Spandex - these shorts are made to be the perfect combo of soft and strong. Cotton blends stick to clothing, which means they show. And thinner spandex/nylon blends move, but they don’t last. Monkeybar Buddies don’t show, bunch, or stick to skirts! And they are built strong, just like your little one. Versatile - These shorts can get wet without losing their shape, just like a bathing suit.
